One key reason we love Spain is access to wonderfully fresh produce, meats, and seafood. Earlier today, we shopped at the bountiful, bustling Mercado Central just a block away from our apartment. There we bought fresh shrimp, heirloom tomatoes, and a bottle of local rose wine. After a half-hour in the kitchen, we savored the sweetest most succulent shrimp dinner ever. The shrimp, sautéed in garlic, lemon, wine, and chili, was paired with mashed potatoes and mixed salad. The rose proved a perfect match.
