marina, working up a thirst along the way.
Back at the marina, a large sign that
proclaimed free tequila tasting caught our
eyes. Who can resist a little free tequila? Little,
it turned out, was the operative word. The
clerk ushered us into the large gift shop to a
small bar, and ask us if we wanted almond,
caramel, or chocolate. Flavored tequila? Well,
it was free. Caramel, we chimed in unison. Out
came four tiny plastic cups the size of a bite-
sized Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Carefully, he
poured a bit of golden liquid in each, barely
covering the cup bottom. Three tiny tastes
later, we left with sticky lips and no buzz.
