Noche, was the polar opposite. One of
Lima’s top live music venues, El Noche has
hosted some of the biggest names in Peru‐

patio cater to thirty-somethings who come
for the music, camaraderie, and inexpen‐
sive booze. There were only a dozen or so
customers on the night we visited - perhaps
it was too early in the evening. Happily, the
manager was free to take us on a private
tour.
The place is huge. Upstairs was a mas‐
sive room with an equally massive bar.
