broke my Covid travel fast with a 10-day
trip to Cuba in April. It was the first time
I’d traveled since early 2020 – and it was
I gloriously delicious. I joined a small-group
photo tour offered by Lumaria Workshops.
There were 12 of us – nine students and three
award-winning U.S. photographers (Christoper
Baker, Robert Holmes and Andrea Johnson)
who know Cuba like most of us know the
neighborhoods where we live. This photo es-
say depicts our journey – and shows that
there’s no need to lug heavy equipment to
bring home decent travel images. Every photo
here was taken with an iPhone 13.
