On the second afternoon, we were treated to a
                                                              Portuguese wine masterclass by wine director
                                                              Bruno Cunha where we continued our education
                                                              into the country’s myriad wines. Bruno focused on
                                                              Portugal’s diverse wine regions, including some fine
                                                              vintages being produced in the Algarve area. It would
                                                              be the first - and one of the best - wine educational
                                                              experiences we savored in Algarve.
                                                                  The wine theme continued with a tasting menu
                                                              starring local contemporary Portuguese cuisine from
                                                              the resort’s fine-dining restaurant helmed by chef
                                                              Bruno Viegas. All courses, including the amuse
                                                              bouche, were matched with wines selected and
                                                              poured by our masterclass wine guru Bruno Cunha.
                                                              Soothed and sated after the leisurely evening with
                                                              no drive home required, we happily felt accumulated
                                                              travel stresses slip away.
