Our farewell dinner is about to begin, I
glance down the table at my 13 fellow trav-
elers. All have journeyed with my husband,
Ron, and me across Thailand, from
Bangkok to Chiang Rai, on a tour with
Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT).

comed me with cold beer, pristine beaches,
