The Council is led by the cruise line’s long-
time Master Chef Rudi Sodamin. Our favorite
dining venue on the ship was his namesake
restaurant, Rudi’s Sel De Mer, where every
detail, including the whimsical china, reflects
his artistry. This cozy brasserie serves French
classics with a twist, like the beautiful Dover
sole meunière with shaved pink Himalayan sea
salt that Ron enjoyed on our first visit. Mary
and our dinner companions devoured Rudi’s
enormous (12-ounce) sweet succulent lobster
tails, the menu’s most popular item. The meal
was so good we ended the cruise with dinner
there. Rudi’s may be the priciest specialty
dining onboard, but it’s worth the splurge for
the lobster alone.
