modern technology, completion now is tar-
geted for 2026, the centenary of Gaudí's
death. When finished, La Sagrada Familia
will feature eighteen towers, with the cen-
tral Tower of Jesus Christ soaring 566 feet,
making it the tallest religious structure in
Europe.
Gaudí's dedication extended to funding
the project. He personally raised money
and even founded a school for the workers'
children, which now serves as a museum.
Today, construction continues through
ticket sales and donations.
