Other onboard casual eateries include the
Lido Market buffet, and main Dining Room
where most of the guests go for their break-
fast, lunch and dinner. The buffet is a no fuss,
casual eatery with an extensive daily menu
that will immediately satisfy your every crav-
ing. It’s certainly one of the best buffets we’ve
experienced at sea..
The beautiful two story Dining Room is the
white table-clothed venue for nightly dining.
Many of the dishes served here were as good
as the ones we enjoyed in specialty restau-
rants. During each cruise, the Dining Room
features a sophisticated menu of dishes cre-
ated by the seven Culinary Council chefs. It
was a delicious dining sampler without an up
charge.
A favorite lunch stop was the Dive-In. The
burgers there bring to mind classic diner fare.
Cooked to order, they are always hot and
juicy, served with golden crisp French fries
and trademarked “secret sauce.” They’re not
only the best burgers at sea, but better than
most on land as well.
All the dining rooms draw on award-winning
wine lists curated by critic James Suckling,
formerly with Wine Spectator. The wine se-
lection is broad, with many fine wines from
around the world available on our beverage
package at no extra charge. Also included
were top-shelf cocktails, including Ron’s fa-
vorite Vesper martini, shaken, not stirred.
Mary also became a fan of the Champagne
Dream laced with vodka and orange liqueur.
The ship offers several tasting events and
classes and we watched lots of cheerful peo-
ple enjoying wines, cocktails and whiskey. We
sat in on a wine pairing tasting hosted by
