We also enjoyed The Museum of Contemporary
Native Arts, the downtown showcase for Native
American art, the only one of its kind in the coun-
try. Its collection includes thousands of indige-
nous artworks created from1962 to the present,
many on display in its light-filled galleries. Its ma-
jor exhibition during our visit was the Tubis Print
Collection, drawn from work done in the IAIA
Printmaking Studio that introduced modern
printmaking to native artists from 1963 to 1981.
In Santa Fe, art is hardly confined to museums.
