As we reached the viewpoint, a sense
of anticipation filled the air. Thousands of
Potter fans flock to this spot each year,
eagerly awaiting the scheduled train
crossings. Cameras were poised, and
smiles widened as the distant rumble of
the approaching train echoed through the
valley.
Then, there it was. The Jacobite steam
train, lovingly restored to resemble the
Hogwarts Express, chugged across the
Glenfinnan Viaduct. A plume of smoke
trailed behind like a magical ribbon. We
joined everyone in cheer, thrilled for a few
minutes back in the magical world of
Harry Potter.
