e set out mid-morning for Plaza
Mayor, the heart of Madrid, for a
W tapas crawl to some favorite
tapas bars and restaurants. It was a little
early for the adult beverages that pair so
well with Spanish food. But for the sake of
journalism, we made an exception on this
warm summer day. Our focus would be
eateries we discovered on previous visits to
the Spanish capital’s lively central neigh-
borhoods, including La Latina.
