aris is the seventh most popular des-
tination in the world - although I be-
lieve it should be number one. This
Southern California native has made
P the City of Light her home for seven
years. I make a living sharing its wonders with
travelers from around the world.
As a travel concierge and travel guide spe-
cializing in Paris, I plan vacations for new and
returning visitors. Even if you have only 24
hours, you can experience the main monu-
ments in one action-packed day. But a few
days more allows for a much fuller Parisan ex-
perience, including more café time, this city’s
most wonderful activity.
In an ideal world, give yourself several days
in Paris in order to see the top sights and
icons like Notre Dame and Versailles. If you've
been here before and seen many of them, it's
an opportunity to savor the lesser-known de-
lights of Paris.
I’d suggest flying to Paris on Sunday or
Monday to give you a chance to get over jet
lag. Most venues are closed on those days. If
you’re arriving after a redeye flight, be sure to
ask your hotel about early check in. If that’s
