eighty-ton statue of Ramses II
During our visit, a shopkeeper who spoke decent
English enticed Ron to look over at his collection of
carved statues and pyramids. While he didn’t make
a purchase, Ron asked him to pose for a photo in
front of his small business and explained the picture
would be in this magazine. With Ron’s business card
in hand, the shopkeeper soon had the Wine Dine and
Travel website displayed on his cell phone. Pleased,
he smiled, reached under the counter and handed Ron
a small stone pyramid. It now sits on Mary’s desk at
home in California; his photo is pictured here.
