hen thinking of Vienna, you might imagine
hearing the clip-clop of horses’ hooves on
the cobblestones, envision elegantly
W dressed people on the way to the opera,
and start yearning for a piece of delicious Sachertorte. But
the Austrian capital is also well known for its edgy street
art, buzzing farmers’ markets, and public environmental
projects as I learned during my inaugural visit last autumn.
As soon as Covid restric�ons were li�ed, I flew to the Aus-
trian capital which had been on my travel bucket list for
years. In the company of local guide Gabriela Steiner I ex-
plored both its famous sights and hidden corners.
