Home of Massimo Bottura, considered by many to
be among the greatest chefs in the world, Modena is
another culinary hotbed located near Parma. If you
are unable to get reservations, or to afford, Osteria
Francescana, Bottura’s three-star Michelin restau-
rant, then head to Franceschetta58–Bottura’s less
expensive but equally playful restaurant. With tast-
ing menus starting at 59 Euros, it is both reasonable
and exceptional.
